The program La Volta is based on the performance practice of music and compositions from the Elizabethan era. At its core is the unique book by Thomas Morley: First Book of Consort Lessons (1599), the most important Renaissance publication for 'Broken Consort'.

A selection of the finest Pavanes, Gaillardes, and other dances with variations on folk tunes served as inspiration for the ensemble's own arrangements and the creation of new compositions.
The music showcases a wide variety of styles, including those of John Dowland (1563–1626), William Byrd (1540–1623), Thomas Morley (1557–1602), Klaas de Vries (NL–1944), Roderik de Man (NL–1941), David Dramm (USA–1961), and Oene van Geel (NL–1973). All early music pieces have been arranged by various members of the ensemble.
La Volta is a concert of approximately 80 minutes — full of contrasts, adventurous, and accessible.
